Representing the Business of Chemistry

The New York State Chemistry Council is a statewide trade association that serves as the premier voice on chemicals, environmental, and health and safety issues that impact on chemical companies and the industry at large in New York. We serve our members by providing legislative and regulatory advocacy, information, counsel and support, as well as help them respond to the initiatives and concerns of elected officials, regulators and community groups.

2019 Environmental Health & Safety Conference Call
Wednesday, November 6, 2019  12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Learn How to Effectively Handle Whistleblower Complaints

All companies must deal with complaints, ranging from informal to formal.  A whistleblower complaint lies at the formal end of the spectrum, where a supposedly knowledgeable person alleges illegal or unethical behavior and that person takes advantage of specific statutory whistleblower protections.  Unfortunately, if handled poorly, even an informal complaint can escalate to formal whistleblower status.  This conference call will discuss how to handle whistleblower and potential whistleblower situations.  Real-life investigations will be used to set forth planning strategies, complaint management, response and investigation techniques, and closure and monitoring needs.
